How we review
Each VPN is compared on the same criteria: published speed data across regions, independent DNS/IPv6/WebRTC leak audit results, kill-switch reliability reports, and streaming support against the major platforms. We read the privacy policy and jurisdiction, and we track independent third-party audits rather than taking “no-logs” claims at face value. Pricing is re-verified regularly, including the renewal rates that intro offers tend to hide.

Shielded Browsing is written and edited by Lennit Herrera, who builds and audits websites for a living. Every review here is researched and published by one named, accountable person — not an anonymous content pipeline.
That means the work sticks to what can actually be verified from the outside: published specifications, independent third-party audits, ownership and jurisdiction, and privacy policies read in full rather than summarized from a marketing page. Where a claim can’t be verified, this site says so instead of guessing. If something here is wrong, there is a name attached to it and an inbox to tell.
How we stay independent
We don’t accept payment for rankings.
